Spotlight Experience
Coastal Brown Bears at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska offer a unique photography experience. These magnificent animals feed on grass, roots, berries, clams, and more. During the summer they descend from the hills to eat from the coastal valley and the bay’s rich sources. The opportunity to safely and unobtrusively observe their behavior while enjoying the magnificent land they inhabit touched me deeply. I captured this male in June, 2024 as he emerged from a field of Lupin flowers.
